Chris Campbell is Of Counsel to the firm. He was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. He received his BA, MBA, and JD from the University of Maryland prior to relocating to Los Angeles, California during early 2001 to take a job with the prominent Los Angeles law firm of Geragos & Geragos. His current focus is on our firm’s Title IX, criminal, and civil practices. During his time with the Geragos firm, he worked on most of the firm’s high-profile cases at the time including the Scott Peterson (capital murder) and Michael Jackson (child molestation) matters. In 2015, he again teamed up with the Geragos firm and worked on matters involving recording artist Kesha, and a state senator being federally prosecuted criminally. On the civil end, Chris has obtained multiple million-dollar plus verdicts/judgments in matters ranging from partnership disputes to personal injury ($4.8 million jury verdict against Barron Nicholas Hilton). In his appellate capacity, Chris has also obtained published opinions in both the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also currently represents 1960s recording star Leonard Borisoff, p/k/a Len Barry in a case that has been taken up for review by the California Supreme Court following Chris’s obtaining a reversal in the Court of Appeal. Chris has served in leadership capacities of legal organizations including the Long Beach Bar Association (97th President – 2014, Board Member – 2008-2015), the Joseph A. Ball/Clarence S. Hunt . American Inn of Court (Membership Chair – 2013-2014, member – 2006-2017), and the Long Beach Bar Foundation (Board Member – 2013-2015). He has also been a proud participant in the Long Beach Bar Association’s mentoring program at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach, including its Teen Court program designed to help at-risk youngsters avoid criminal activity.
